Feathering our nest

So I know I promised pictures of our house...Better late than never!

Front door, entrance and living room

Livingroom, Fireplace and our Christmas present ( the TV) and the diningroom

Kitchen, laundry room, Master bathroom and our bedroom.
I just had my 24th birthday on March 9th... and since it was the day after the time change I woke up feeling so old and tired! I'm not even kidding. Brandon got me some flowers from Sam's Club and I got to arrange them myself and It really cheered me up. Not to mention that he took me shopping.

My aunt Vicki and my Grandma are opening up a shop by Bowcutt's Floral called Feathering your nest. They are doing classes on re-doing and updating furniture as well as selling it. They found me an Oak table for my new house and we spent a Saturday refinishing it. First we had to sand everything down to the wood, and after that the fun began! I refinished the top and painted the legs black. Now I just need to find 6 chairs!

First part, sanding the top! There was dust everywhere!!

After the top was finished, and I was just starting on the legs.

Legs finished!!
The top....

The finished product, I love this table! it looks so amazing, and I cant believe how easy it was to do it myself! If you love this, take a look around your own house for things you could refinish yourself! They will be open for business soon!
